We think that there are some similarities to the Recaro ProRide and the new Recaro Euro convertible safety car seat. This new seat is a welcome addition to the Recaro car seat lineup as it offers a second lower priced option for their convertible car seats, while maintaining the bulk of safety and quality features you have come to know and trust. How this seat is different from the ProRide is that it has a more narrow seat width at 15”, is about 2 pounds lighter, smaller head restraint (which some children actually prefer) and has a manual harness height adjuster. The Recaro Euro is available in 4 neutral and gender specific colors that are new to Recaro. We really like the Euro car seat and think that it is a great convertible seat option with all of the safety and comfort features you’ll need.

The all new for 2012 Recaro Euro convertible car seat is rearing facing 5-35 pounds and then turns around to convert to a forward facing car seat up to 70 pounds. The Euro features Recaro’s famed side impact protection that protects a child’s most vital parts of the body- the head, neck, face, torso, and the pelvis. The Recaro Euro has passed the most stringent safety standards for side impact protection for car seats today. Other safety features found on the Euro are the universal top tether, dual seat belt lockoffs, LATCH system, and EPS foam lining to absorb energy in a crash. Comfort features are the front adjustable harness, EuroShell structure that offers a more comfortable seat, comfort five point harness padding, plush head lining on head restraint, and soft touch cover. The Euro also features a premium rear facing recline lever for a perfect fit for the child when seated in the rear facing position.
