Baby Jogger was initially created in the mid 1980’s by a journalist father who wanted to be able to combine spending time with his son and jogging, finding out quickly that standard baby strollers were not meant to be used to running on long trips over different types of terrain, he created Baby Jogger.

The original Baby Jogger strollers were meant for serious runners and did not fold up for convenience, in the mid 1990’s the company then released the next generation of jogging strollers. These new models offered no tools required folding mechanisms and featured quick release wheels, these new features were well received and made the strollers able to be travel and be stored much more easily. Purchased by the Bag Boy Company in 2003, both companies were eventually purchased by Dynamic Brands in 2004. After this the company expanded on their popular City Series line, creating a new family of City Strollers. In 2010, they introduced an innovative stroller, the City Select, to mix and match seats for different or same aged children to create 16 different combinations. These are the modern day strollers that make Baby Jogger such a high demand stroller line. Baby Jogger is sold at authorized mass and independent retailers.
